Raiders 8 - Knights 5
It was a depleted roster for the Raiders that showed up on Sunday night to play the Knights. Having only 6 players, the Raiders kept a simple game plan and conserved energy throughout the game as the Knights desperately tried to exploit the lack of players Raiders had out for the game. Raiders capitalized on turnovers after the Knights had a difficult time converting chances in close. Raiders on the other hand converted on all their chances as well as opportunistic bounces off the back wall. They also stayed out of the penalty box and didn't allow the Knights any power play opportunities. With the next five games against A division opponents, the Knights will need to capitalize on these situations or it will be a very long season.

Knights 7 - Cheifs 2
Cheifs brought out their full team on this snowy sunday hoping to pull out a victory against the prodigious Knights. Cheifs started the game with strong forecheck forcing Knights to take 2 penalties by Ryan "I got game" Bhala and Mr Singh. Team in black took the lead by scoring on first PP and continue to pepper Rob with shot after shot. Then Gur "The Tank" wristed a hard shot from the slot going top corner tieing it up 1-1. Jim White took another penalty but a possessed Clayton scored a nice short-handed goal stripping Cheifs D-man of the ball and rifling a wrist shot again top corner taking the lead 2-1. In the second half Knights took the lead 3-1 off an nice 3 way passing play from Gur -> Clayton -> streaking Dan Ko tipping it past Cheifs netminder. Cheifs got a quick one back making it 3-2 but from there on in the Knights were too much for the Cheifs allowing 4 straight goals. Clayton had 5 points in the game netting 3 highlight reel goals with 2 assists. Gary Bal and Chinney Sidhu with other Knights goals. Assistant Captain Kulvir Kaila could was unable to shovel his way out of his drive-way and enjoyed a nice cozy afternoon watching football.

Generals 4 - Knights 3 (OT)
Game Summary
Another hard fought game between Knights and Generals with outstanding goaltending on both sides. Knights once again could not capitalize on chances outshooting the Generals once again. Knights started the game again with penalty trouble but manage to kill both PP's. Generals scored on defensive mishap with their player backhanding one in into empty net from the left side. Early in the second half Knights Clayton Weston tied it with a wicked shot from 15 feet out. Knights had one PP mid-way through the second half but could not capitalize. Gur "The Tank" Randhawa had a goal taken away even though it went of his stick. The ref'ing in this game was not very good. Generals then took a 2 goal lead in second half and with 1 minute left Knights scored 2 goals to tie it up. Midway in O.T. Generals centreman weaved his way towards the slot and put one through Knights goalie's 5 hole.
Defensive player of the game - Bill Lundholm
Offensive player of the game - Clayton "The Machine" Weston
Thanks to Bill Lundholm for playing goalie with Rob Kahle and Bal Mattu not available. Also note, Bal Mattu has recently purchased a premier set of goalie equipment and is now ready to take on full backup goaltending duties.
We are trying to get practice time in next couple weeks and during xmas holidays to prepare for battle against A div opponents.
