Panthers 4 - Knights 7

Game Summary

Knights finally had a full lineup last night in a hard fought victory. Panthers came out shooting in first 10 minutes to build a 3-1 lead. Knights bench was a little chaotic to start the game but settled down midway through first half. Team picked it up a notch from there on in and forced veteran Panthers into taking major penalties which resulted in 5 straight goals in the 2nd half. Key's to the game were solid forechecking by wingers forcing turnovers and penalties and solid defense with blistering shots from the point. For the 2nd straight game goaltending was spectacular and kept the game close when needed in the first half.

Defensive player of the game - Rob Kahle
Offensive player of the game - Kevin Singh

Guys, this is a reminder get your league fee's in by today or ASAP. Darsh was kind enough to allow me to pay until third week. We still have alot of guys haven't paid up fully.

Let's get this out of the way so we can enjoy the rest of the season.

Some important points

1. We need to start changing properly with lines so we keep a high tempo game going and utilize all 3 lines effectively.

2. On the bench or half-time we need only one person giving a pep talk to the team. This is the captain and assistant captains responsibility (usually Kulvir). Everyone's opinion is welcome but voice it to the captain or assistant. It doesn't help when everyone's talking at the same time.

3. Don't talk down to any of your team-mates, everyone is going to make mistakes as Rob pointed out at practice. As season progresses and come playoff time we need to support each other and play as TEAM to take it to the next level.

This team if everyone comes together as a TEAM and is disciplined can go a long way.
